606 Arts Space
606 Arts Space is the working name for the former Kootenay School of the Arts (KSA) building that up until August 2026 was operated by Selkirk College in downtown Nelson, located at 606 Victoria Street.
Beginning August 1, 2026, Nelson Community Land Trust will hold a five-year lease for the building and support its transition into a shared arts, culture, education, and community space.
The building will operate with multiple tenants. Kootenay School of the Arts Society (KSAS) and Nearside Arts will be among them, continuing KSA educational programming in the building alongside other arts and community organizations.
NCLT is responsible for negotiating and holding the lease with the City of Nelson, operating the building, employing a part-time general manager, organising tenancies across its spaces, and negotiating and holding leases with its tenants.
